ADAM GRAY SECURES ENDORSEMENT FROM CALIFORNIA FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE
MERCED, CA – Congressman Adam Gray announced today that he secured the endorsement of the California Fraternal Order of Police (CAFOP) in his re-election campaign in California’s 13th Congressional District.
Founded in 1977, the Fraternal Order of Police California State Lodge oversees 33 local lodges and over 21,500 members. The CAFOP is the voice of those who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving our communities. The CAFOP is committed to improving the working conditions of law enforcement officers and the safety of those who serve through education, legislation, information, community involvement, and employee representation.
“Keeping Central Valley communities strong takes people who understand the communities they serve and are willing to stand up for the men and women who protect them. Adam Gray has been a strong partner to law enforcement and has consistently listened to the concerns of officers and the communities they serve. CAFOP is proud to endorse Adam Gray and support his work to make the Valley a safer place to live, work and raise a family,” said Roger Hilton, President of the California Fraternal Order of Police.
CAFOP’s endorsement is the latest in a coalition of law enforcement organizations supporting Congressman Gray’s re-election campaign.
Throughout his career, Gray has consistently worked to strengthen public safety across the Central Valley. His work includes:
Securing more than $1 million in federal funding for technology upgrades for the Modesto Police Department.
Introducing the Combatting Fentanyl Poisonings Act to expand grant funding for fentanyl awareness and prevention.
Cosponsoring the Invest to Protect Act, which authorizes millions of dollars in funding for small and midsize police departments.
Authoring legislation in the California State Assembly to crack down on gangs and organized retail theft, and continuing that work in Congress.
